Self-supporting gates are the ideal solution for residential and industrial applications. These gates are very common in Northern Europe and America, and there are several types in different weights and with different characteristics. Hi-Motions has recently introduced two new products to the market, respectively the XM gate series and two carriage models with 9 wheels for the M (301.9M) and L (301.9L) series.
The new system for self-supporting gates in the XM series has a rail profile of 68×68 mm and allows it to cover passage openings of up to 12 m. It features an 8-wheel carriage built with high quality materials. Beginning directly with the zinc-plated coils with excellent mechanical features, the carriage is able to minimise structural deformities even in the heaviest of gates.
Carriages with 9 wheels, 301.9M and 301.9L, were designed instead to guarantee maximum stability mainly for very long gates, further facilitating the installer’s work. The ninth wheel in its central position renders the sliding action more precise and safer, reducing to a minimum the play between the carriage and the drive. Self-supporting carriages with 9 wheels can be installed in any context and with the same limits of use as the corresponding 8-wheel models. However, in comparison, they make it possible to reduce the number of drive rollers on the gate.
