For almost 18 years the Portuguese market has been covered by the branch run by general manager Joao Texeira. The professional relationship began as a personal relationship in which trust and honesty enabled the initial difficulties and fears to be overcome. We asked him to talk to us about the early years and how he developed his team and the network of customers over time.
“I was already working in the sector but when the opportunity to get to know Benincà came about I had some concerns. It was important to meet Luigi because he personally clarified what the project for the future might look like and he showed me who he really was and what the products were like. Following that meeting I became a part of the family”. A partnership that was sealed from a relationship of trust then grew over the years. Today the branch has succeeded in extending its customer base through the sale of all the group's products and has created new opportunities. It is precisely this relationship of trust that has made the branch strong.
“The relationship we have with customers and amongst the members of staff is the same as the relationship we have with the head office. The main ingredient is trust - in people and in the product. We have a lot of respect for people, for their work and even for personal matters. The face-to-face relationship we talked about all those years ago is still pivotal to the way we work. We are simply always there for one another.”
