Matteo has been working in R&D at Benincà since 2019. Outside of work, his passion is the theatre. He appeared in a critically-acclaimed film shot in Vicenza, 800 Days, about the 1980s kidnapping of Carlo Celadon, son of a Venetian entrepreneur, who was released, as the film title suggests, over 800 days later. He tells his story in the interview. At Benincà Matteo designs the aesthetic part of many products. He loves minimalism and simplicity, and rises to the challenges laid down by technical and formal constraints to bring tangible and familiar products to the end user. Among the topics on the agenda, sustainability and energy efficiency are the key issues of the day and Benincà is also asking how it can adopt new approaches to design.
